If you’re not moving directly into your home upon arrival, Bratislava has a wide range of temporary accommodation options, from hotels to apartment hotels to short-term rental apartments. Your best option depends on how long you need to find more permanent accommodation. 5-star hotels may be great for a short-term stay but will get rather pricey as the weeks fly by.
Hotels:
There are a number of global brand hotels in Bratislava, as well as independent and smaller boutique hotels. These have been popping up in recent years and offer a unique alternative to formula design brands. Five-star hotels offer all the amenities a seasoned traveller is accustomed to and 4-star hotels are also fine. You may want to view anything with lower ratings before booking, as it might not be up to international standards.
The following is only a small selection of the options available. For more listings, go to www.bratislavahotels.com .

Short-term apartment rentals:
There are hundreds of furnished apartments available for short-term rental on the Internet, but pictures can be deceiving. Rather than book something before you leave, you may want to spend a few nights in a hotel before committing to an apartment, especially if you’ll be staying there for more than a week or two. Another option is to use a relocation company. They have many existing contacts, which should help ensure you’re not disappointed. Apartments are generally more spacious and much cheaper than an extended hotel stay. Before signing an agreement, always check the length of the lease, the rental fee, the charge for utilities and the security deposit, and do an inventory checklist both when moving in and when leaving.
